Food Service Assistant - Remote Opportunities in Aged Care

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Food Service Assistant to join our team remotely, making a real impact in aged care. As a Food Service Assistant (FSA), you will play a vital role in providing high-quality catering support services within our homes. This Food Service Assistant remote role allows you to contribute to the well-being of residents while ensuring the highest food safety and hygiene standards.

What You'll Do

• Set up each servery and dining area ready for each meal period in line with Regis standards.
• Prepare trolleys for tea breaks and supper, ensuring all items are organized and ready for service.
• Wash dishes and clean according to the Food Safety Program, maintaining a hygienic environment.
• Assist with meal preparation when required, ensuring nutritious meals are served.
• Monitor and record requirements of the Food Safety Plan, such as temperatures and cleaning schedules.
• Collaborate with the clinical and care services team to create a positive dining experience for residents.

Requirements

• Previous experience in providing catering assistance or hospitality in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Food Standards and Food Safety.
• Good communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and accurately.
• Ability to work as a team member, prioritizing and adapting to various ways of supporting residents.
• Digital literacy is essential for this Food Service Assistant remote position.
