About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Finance Associate / Bookkeeper to join our team remotely. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with German tax laws, and maintaining accurate financial records. As a Finance Associate / Bookkeeper, you will have the opportunity to shape the finance function and make a hands-on impact on our financial operations.

What You'll Do

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices.
• Prepare financial reports and assist in financial planning and analysis.
• Perform transaction reconciliation and audits to maintain the integrity of financial records.
• Ensure compliance with German HGB and tax regulations.
• Utilize QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel for financial data management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Implement process automation to enhance efficiency in financial operations.
• Maintain GDPR compliance in all financial documentation and processes.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably as a Finance Associate or Bookkeeper.
• Strong knowledge of German tax law and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Experience with financial reporting and data analysis.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with DATEV and liquidity management is a plus.
