Finance and Accounting Manager - Remote Position

About the Role

We're hiring a Finance and Accounting Manager to join our remote team at Sentient. In this role, you will oversee accounting operations and financial reporting, ensuring compliance in a fully remote environment. This Finance and Accounting Manager position is crucial for supporting Sentient's financial infrastructure as we scale our foundation and ecosystem initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Manage and supervise daily accounting operations across the organization.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including crypto and foundation-specific accounting considerations.
• Provide accounting support to internal stakeholders across business development, operations, and ecosystem teams.
• Facilitate cross-departmental financial collaboration in a remote-first environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, with supervisory responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and modern accounting software.
• Ability to deliver high-quality results within tight timeframes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal).

Nice to Have

• Audit background (Big 4 or equivalent experience preferred).
• Experience with crypto/Web3 accounting, including token economics and foundation structures.
• CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification.
