Field Service Technician for Charging Infrastructure - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician for Charging Infrastructure - Remote to join our team at Daimler Buses Solutions. This role is pivotal in contributing to the electric mobility transition, focusing on the installation and maintenance of charging infrastructure. As a Field Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive top-notch service and support in their electric mobility needs.

What You'll Do

• Handle the installation and commissioning of charging infrastructure (AC/DC) on site.
• Ensure compliance with Daimler quality standards and monitor the technical acceptance of services or installations performed by external service providers.
• Perform maintenance, servicing, and safety inspections on existing charging systems in accordance with DGUV regulations.
• Conduct on-site troubleshooting and repairs as defined in the service agreement.
• Carry out fault and root cause analyses both on site and remotely.
• Support our customers directly, handle communication in case of malfunctions, and ensure active information exchange to maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Be responsible for the integration of charging stations into a service backend system.
• Handle the commissioning, inspection, and maintenance of transformer stations.

Requirements

• Completed vocational training in the field of electrical engineering.
• Prior experience in the field of charging infrastructure is ideal.
• High level of independence, customer orientation, and solution-oriented approach.
• Willingness to travel and flexibility.
• Very good German language skills and good English skills.
• Experience in initial testing according to VDE 0100 Part 600 is a plus.
• Hold a switching authorization for medium-voltage switchgear or be willing to obtain this qualification.
