Facilities Manager - Remote Opportunity in Healthcare
About the Role
We are excited to announce an opening for a Facilities Manager remote position at Rydon. This role is integral to our Hard Facilities Management team, which is responsible for delivering planned, preventative, and responsive building repairs across a variety of healthcare facilities. As a Facilities Manager, you will oversee our flagship NHS Acute Hospital contract, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery.
What You'll Do
- Lead the delivery of Hard FM Services, ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality, and performance standards across multiple healthcare sites.
- Manage a skilled engineering team to deliver planned and reactive maintenance services effectively.
- Ensure that all contractual commitments are met in accordance with KPIs and SLAs, maximizing financial profit levels while managing risks.
- Conduct regular contract monitoring meetings, preparing all necessary documentation to demonstrate service delivery performance.
- Build and maintain a high-performing team, focusing on succession planning and continuous improvement of services.
- Identify and mitigate risks in all areas of contract and operational performance.
- Control and monitor the performance of specialist service providers and subcontractors through regular review meetings.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Facilities Manager or Contract Manager, ideally within a healthcare environment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing both directly employed and subcontracted teams.
- Excellent financial acumen to manage the financial interests of both Rydon and our clients throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
- Experience with PFI contracts is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and implement long-term improvements.
Nice to Have
- Experience in managing contracts in sectors outside healthcare.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and manage multiple priorities.

- A competitive starting salary estimated between £60,000 and £70,000 per year.
- A car allowance of £5,472 per annum.
