Fabrication Design Development Technician - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

Join SpaceX as a Fabrication Design Development Technician in a remote capacity. This role is crucial for the fabrication and assembly of innovative products for the Starlink project, aimed at revolutionizing global internet access. As a Fabrication Design Development Technician, you will collaborate closely with engineers to enhance production efficiency and contribute to groundbreaking projects.

What You'll Do

• Fabricate parts to specifications using advanced machine shop and fabrication equipment.
• Build complex mechanical assemblies, including high and low-voltage wiring and pneumatics.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts and boom lifts for critical moves within the facility.
• Provide constructive feedback to improve tooling designs and processes.
• Maintain organization and attention to detail in all tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of welding experience, including AC/DC TIG and MIG.
• 2+ years of experience in manual machine operations or fabrication tools.
• Able to read blueprints and perform basic shop math.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Nice to Have

• Experience with CAD design using NX.
• Laser tracking experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
