We are seeking an Experienced Dog Groomer to join our team at Wags to Wiskers in Ludington, Michigan. This is a full-time position where you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive environment dedicated to pet care. As an Experienced Dog Groomer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and appearance of our furry clients. Your passion for animals and professional grooming skills will be highly valued in our team.

What You'll Do

• Perform full-service grooming, including bathing, clipping, brushing, and breed-standard or client-specific cuts.
• Prioritize pet safety and well-being throughout the grooming process.
• Build strong, positive relationships with pet parents.
• Recommend appropriate products to enhance the pet’s care and appearance.
• Maintain grooming area cleanliness, organization, and sanitation.
• Use store scheduling and POS systems as needed.
• Attend meetings and trainings to enhance your skills.
• Work collaboratively with the store and grooming team members.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on professional dog grooming experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Formal grooming education or certification preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Comfortable using grooming tools, scheduling software, and basic computer programs.

Nice to Have

• Experience with various dog breeds and temperaments.
• Knowledge of pet care products and grooming techniques.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
