Engineering Manager - Remote for Japanese Market

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager for the Japanese Market to lead our Genesis team at Autify. This remote Engineering Manager position offers the opportunity to shape the future of technology in a rapidly evolving market. What You'll Do

• Lead the Genesis team in developing innovative software solutions that meet the needs of the Japanese market.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project goals and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
• Mentor and support engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Identify and address architectural and technical challenges, planning improvements as necessary.
• Facilitate team ceremonies and remove blockers to enhance productivity and team morale.
• Provide visibility on team performance through metrics and regular reporting to stakeholders.
• Support the product team in delivering fast and high-quality business value, adapting to new information as needed.
• Empower engineers by setting clear goals and utilizing data to improve operational workflows.

Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software development and engineering management.
• Strong background in backend implementation is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to work remotely with some overlap with Japanese business hours until a visa is issued.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a SaaS startup environment.
• Understanding of QA practices, particularly test automation.
• Experience in designing, developing, and delivering software solutions.
