Energy Storage Procurement Manager - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Energy Storage Procurement Manager to join OX2 in a remote capacity. As an integral part of our Energy Storage business organization, you will be responsible for the sourcing and procurement of energy storage systems, specifically focusing on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to large-scale renewable energy projects that create long-term value for society.

What You'll Do

• Define procurement strategy and lead negotiations for energy storage projects.
• Manage the procurement process, including supplier pre-qualification and ESG due diligence.
• Coordinate tender preparation with engineering and relevant project stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development of supply and long-term service agreement templates.
• Provide input to CAPEX and OPEX benchmarks for energy storage projects.
• Support lenders’ due diligence processes and manage claims and contractual follow-up.
• Maintain and develop relationships with key suppliers.
• Monitor market intelligence on the energy storage supply chain.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in BESS procurement or sales within utility-scale projects (>30 MW/MWh).
• Strong commercial mindset with an understanding of engineering aspects.
• Proactive and driven, with the ability to anticipate challenges and opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally.
• Strong expertise in commercial terms, negotiation, and risk identification.
• Experience in establishing procurement procedures and contract templates.
• Fluency in English and Italian is required.
