Electronics Engineer - Test IC /​ IC Evaluation Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Electronics Engineer - Test IC / IC Evaluation Engineer to join our team at Universal Quantum. As an Electronics Engineer, you will lead the testing of integrated circuits (ICs) and micromachined assemblies, ensuring our quantum computers are built to the highest standards. What You'll Do

• Lead the testing of integrated circuits (ICs) and micromachined assemblies as a primary duty.
• Design, build, and test electronics solutions using your skills in analogue and digital circuit design.
• Create detailed reports on the performance of ASICs at nominal and cryogenic temperatures.
• Document your electronics test circuits thoroughly.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software engineers, and physicists to achieve common goals.
• Play a key role in building test systems for quantum computers.
• Engage in project planning, risk management, and scheduling activities.
• Work closely with the IC design team to implement best practices and improve product documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in high-performance Electronics Design, including IC, Digital, Analog, and Embedded systems.
• Proficient in PCB Design using ECAD tools (e.g., Altium).
• Experience with spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and VNAs for precision measurements.
• Strong knowledge of FPGAs and embedded software engineering for real-time systems.
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
• At least a 2.1 BEng/BSc Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
