Electrical & Instrumentation Technician - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the electrical and instrumentation equipment at our production facility. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while ensuring the smooth operation of critical systems.

What You'll Do

  • Perform routine maintenance of electrical equipment to maximize production and minimize downtime.
  • Inspect, test, adjust, calibrate, and repair electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems.
  • Diagnose existing or potential trouble with plant electrical equipment and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical failures.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work order management.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all workplace safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members and share expertise to improve operational efficiency.
  • Participate in cross-training activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Complete work order cycles, perform work, confirm time, and enter equipment history.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers, Servo, and Frequency Drives.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Strong commitment to safety and the ability to promote a safe working environment.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Multi-craft skill set is a plus; ability to perform additional maintenance tasks as assigned.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of advanced troubleshooting techniques.
