About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team remotely. In this role, you will work independently to maintain, repair, and modify the plant's computer-driven control systems as well as the electrical systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the design, application, installation, and repair of all PLC-driven and electrically driven equipment.

What You'll Do

  • Perform day-to-day troubleshooting, repair, and installation of low and medium voltage industrial, electromechanical, and control systems for utility and production equipment.
  • Create parts lists and determine optimal routes for conduit runs and wiring in accordance with NEC code and applicable standards.
  • Assist in maintaining documentation for existing and new equipment, control systems, and building power system installations.
  • Independently troubleshoot and repair problems with programmable logic controllers and related components.
  • Assist with system start-ups and operational checkouts, including configuration, wiring, calibration, grounding, and power testing.
  • Write procedures, work instructions, and work orders while maintaining records of repairs, calibrations, and tests in the MP2 maintenance management system.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering or related fields.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and reports.
  • Strong mathematical skills to apply practical applications.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions.
  • Proficient in using computers and standard industry software.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with industrial automation and control systems.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols in manufacturing environments.
  • Certification in electrical engineering technology or related fields.
