Electrical Engineering Technician - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team remotely. In this role, you will work independently to maintain, repair, and modify the plant's computer-driven control systems as well as the electrical systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the design, application, installation, and repair of all PLC-driven and electrically driven equipment.
What You'll Do
- Perform day-to-day troubleshooting, repair, and installation of low and medium voltage industrial, electromechanical, and control systems for utility and production equipment.
- Create parts lists and determine optimal routes for conduit runs and wiring in accordance with NEC code and applicable standards.
- Assist in maintaining documentation for existing and new equipment, control systems, and building power system installations.
- Independently troubleshoot and repair problems with programmable logic controllers and related components.
- Assist with system start-ups and operational checkouts, including configuration, wiring, calibration, grounding, and power testing.
- Write procedures, work instructions, and work orders while maintaining records of repairs, calibrations, and tests in the MP2 maintenance management system.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent and 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering or related fields.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and reports.
- Strong mathematical skills to apply practical applications.
- Ability to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions.
- Proficient in using computers and standard industry software.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.

- Experience with industrial automation and control systems.

- Certification in electrical engineering technology or related fields.
