About the Role

We are seeking an experienced EHS Lead to join Digital Edge in a remote capacity. As the EHS Lead, you will oversee environmental, health, and safety performance across our large-scale data center campuses in India, ensuring compliance and promoting a strong EHS culture. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our digital infrastructure initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Provide strategic EHS leadership and oversight for large-scale, high-density data center construction and live facilities across India.
  • Strengthen safety culture across construction sites, live facilities, and offices.
  • Collaborate with project and operations teams on high-risk activity management and mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate EHS performance to the Country Senior Leadership Team.
  • Drive implementation of corporate EHS systems, standards, and procedures.
  • Coach teams on best practices and reinforce high standards in day-to-day execution.
  • Lead incident investigations, ensuring prompt reporting and robust root cause analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with best practices.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Environmental, Health & Safety or a relevant discipline with recognized professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH or equivalent).
  • 15+ years of progressive EHS experience, including leadership roles in large-scale construction and mission-critical environments.
  • Proven track record influencing senior stakeholders and project teams to achieve strong EHS outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of local regulatory frameworks and international EHS standards.
  • Fluent in English and a local language.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in data centers, semiconductor, energy, or major infrastructure projects.
  • Comfortable working on active construction sites and live facilities.
