About the Role

We are looking for a Dutch Gaming Localization Linguist - Remote to join our dynamic team at Welocalize. In this role, you will translate and adapt gaming-related content for Dutch-speaking audiences, ensuring an authentic tone and voice that resonates with players. As a Dutch Gaming Localization Linguist, you will have the opportunity to work on engaging gaming content while collaborating with a global team of linguists and gaming experts.

What You'll Do

• Translate and post-edit gaming-related content with precision and creativity.
• Adapt tone, style, and structure to reflect gaming culture and trends.
• Collaborate with the assessment team on testing tasks.
• Maintain brand consistency and linguistic accuracy across various content.
• Provide feedback for improving content relevance and engagement.
• Utilize client tools for translation and localization tasks.
• Engage with gaming-savvy audiences through storytelling.

Requirements

• Experience in gaming or creative localization is essential.
• Strong command of Dutch and cultural fluency required.
• Familiarity with gaming terminology and cultural context.
• Excellent command of Dutch and deep cultural fluency.
• Comfortable using CAT tools.
• Degree in linguistics, translation, or journalism preferred.
• Creative writing background is a plus.
• Published work on gaming platforms is a bonus.
• Ability to adapt voice and style for Gen Z audiences is a bonus.
