About the Role
We are seeking a DevOps Strategy & Culture Lead remote to join our team at CI&T, a leader in tech transformation. This role is pivotal in driving the evolution and maturity of DevOps practices across our organization and client environments. With over 8,000 CI&Ters globally, we have established partnerships with more than 1,000 clients over our 30-year history. As a DevOps Strategy & Culture Lead remote, you will define and lead the DevOps strategy aligned with business goals, fostering cultural transformation and enhancing DevOps maturity across teams.
What You'll Do
- Assess current DevOps capabilities and build clear improvement roadmaps.
- Provide architectural and technical guidance on cloud and platform practices.
- Partner with executive stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable DevOps initiatives.
- Implement DevOps culture in enterprise environments, ensuring measurable maturity improvements.
- Lead and mentor DevOps or platform teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Utilize your deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to drive initiatives.
- Enhance Infrastructure as Code practices using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
- Promote modern delivery practices such as CI/CD, GitOps, and automated testing.
Requirements
- Proven experience in implementing DevOps culture with measurable improvements.
- Leadership or mentorship experience within DevOps or platform teams.
- Deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi).
- Solid knowledge of container orchestration and health management.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, or Java).
- Strong understanding of observability tools, SLO/SLA frameworks, and reliability engineering principles.
Nice to Have
- Experience designing and operating Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs).
- Familiarity with DevOps maturity frameworks (DORA, CALMS).
- Relevant certifications (AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, CKA).
- Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimization.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices (SAST, DAST).
- Community involvement (talks, publications, open-source contributions).
