About the Role

We are seeking a skilled DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Picogrid. As a DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer remote, you will play a crucial role in designing, automating, and scaling the infrastructure that powers our innovative defense technology solutions. You will collaborate with various teams to build reliable delivery pipelines and improve the operability of our production services.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement infrastructure solutions that support our applications and services.
  • Automate deployment processes using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation to ensure consistent environments.
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters and ensure their reliability and performance.
  • Partner with software teams to establish best practices for deployment safety and observability.
  • Implement security and compliance controls in our delivery pipelines.
  • Enhance our tooling and guardrails to standardize best practices across the organization.
  • Support hybrid deployments, including on-prem and cloud environments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a production DevOps/Infrastructure role.
  • Strong experience with automation and reusable patterns.
  • Proficiency in GitOps and CI/CD methodologies.
  • Extensive experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code.
  • 3+ years of programming experience in languages such as Go, Python, or Java.
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes and Helm.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
  • Experience with security and compliance frameworks.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in FedRAMP/FedStart environments.
  • Familiarity with relational and time-series databases.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native concepts and tooling.
  • Experience working in regulated environments.
