DevEx Engineering Lead - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a talented DevEx Engineering Lead to join our dynamic team at BrainRocket. As a DevEx Engineering Lead remote, you will be responsible for shaping the strategy, tooling, and culture that empower our engineers to work faster and more efficiently. This role is crucial in enhancing our Internal Developer Platform and ensuring that our engineering teams have the best practices and tools at their disposal.

What You'll Do

• Lead the DevEx Engineering team, focusing on improving developer experience and productivity.
• Own the strategy and implementation of our Internal Developer Platform.
• Collaborate closely with engineering departments to identify pain points and develop solutions that enhance product development.
• Establish measurable, self-service practices around build, release, and observability.
• Drive initiatives such as TechRadar to assess and adopt new technologies.
• Collect and analyze developer-centric KPIs to iterate on tooling and reduce cognitive load.
• Develop and deliver training programs and documentation for onboarding and upskilling developers.
• Foster a culture of mentorship and knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience leading DevEx, DevRel, or Platform teams.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript, with experience in additional languages such as Go, Python, or Java.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Prior experience with Internal Developer Platforms or DevEx initiatives.
• Familiarity with tools like Port.io, Cortex, and Backstage.
• Understanding of microservices architectures and team ownership models.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
