Desktop Support Professional - Remote Flexibility
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Professional to join our team, offering a unique opportunity for those looking for a role that combines technical expertise with customer service. This Desktop Support Professional remote position allows for a hybrid work environment, with the potential for one remote day per week. You will be part of a dynamic team providing expert-level technical assistance to end-users, ensuring their hardware and applications run smoothly.
What You'll Do
- Provide expert-level technical support for end-user hardware and applications.
- Assist with the installation and support of Windows operating systems, including Windows 10 and 11.
- Manage desktop applications and Multi-Function Devices (MFDs) such as printers, faxes, copiers, and scanners.
- Support mobile devices including Android phones, iPhones, and iPads.
- Handle escalated support issues from the internal Service Desk.
- Perform desktop software installation, support, and troubleshooting.
- Utilize remote desktop tools for effective remote support.
- Document technical processes and support activities for future reference.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in end-user technical support within Windows environments.
- 5+ years of technical support experience specifically for Windows 10 and 11.
- 5+ years of installation and support experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Extensive knowledge of desktop technology and deployment of x86/x64 computers.
- Experience with Microsoft Remote Server Administration Tools and Microsoft MECM/SCCM.
- 1+ year of experience supporting iOS or Android devices with an enterprise Mobile Device Management solution.
- Strong customer service skills and experience in technical writing and documentation.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with virtualization products such as VMware Workstation or Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Experience in a hybrid work environment and managing remote support.
- Knowledge of Omnissa Horizon or similar products.
