This position offers the flexibility of remote work within the United States, allowing you to contribute to our mission from the comfort of your home.

What You'll Do

  • Advise on analysis and modeling techniques, selecting the best fit for structured and unstructured data.
  • Develop custom analytics models to generate insights that drive value for our customers.
  • Collaborate with analytics engineers to gather information from various sources for advanced statistical methodologies.
  • Conduct exploratory analysis, including hypothesis testing and statistical inference.
  • Translate complex retail business problems into data science solutions.
  • Monitor and improve model performance and data accuracy continuously.
  • Work with other data scientists to implement experiments and glean actionable insights.
  • Research new tools and technologies to stay current in the field of data science.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience applying data science to pricing and demand problems in e-commerce or retail.
  • Proven ability to build and analyze price response curves to identify optimal pricing strategies.
  • Strong understanding of price elasticity, demand forecasting, and trade-offs between margin and volume.
  • Advanced skills in Python and SQL.
  • Ability to work with large SKU catalogs and messy data to deliver actionable insights.
