Data Protection Consultant - Cybersecurity Focus

About the Role

We are seeking a Data Protection Consultant - Cybersecurity Focus to join our Deloitte Cyber team. In this role, you will help businesses navigate the complex landscape of cybersecurity and data protection. As a consultant, you will deliver powerful solutions that enable our clients to operate with resilience and proactively manage their data security. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely while contributing to significant projects that shape the future of data protection.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to clients, evaluating strategic and practical data protection and encryption requirements based on emerging data risks.
• Advise clients on best practices for data encryption, decryption, and secure key management.
• Assist clients in designing, implementing, and operating technology and process solutions to mitigate data risks.
• Develop and lead the implementation of encryption strategies to protect sensitive data across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructures.
• Manage the deployment and lifecycle of PKI systems, ensuring robust certificate management processes.
• Monitor and maintain the health of certificate infrastructures to prevent downtime and security breaches.
• Deliver client engagements successfully by driving day-to-day execution and communicating updates to clients and firm leadership.
• Contribute to Deloitte’s thought leadership by evaluating new tools and solutions to enhance data security.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience in data protection and information security.
• 1+ years of experience managing encryption technologies and understanding cloud encryption concepts.
• 1+ years of experience developing data protection strategies and frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
