About the Role
We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. This Data Engineer remote position offers you the chance to design and develop data warehouses, creating a strong foundation for analytics. You'll be responsible for building data pipelines, optimizing ETL/ELT processes, and translating business needs into technical solutions.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop data warehouses to support analytics initiatives.
- Build, optimize, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and propose optimal architectural solutions.
- Develop clear and fast dashboards to help colleagues see the big picture.
- Implement Data Quality practices to ensure trust in data across the organization.
Requirements
- Proficient in SQL: You can write complex queries, optimize them, and understand their execution under the hood.
- Experience with ETL/ELT: You understand the principles of building data pipelines and have worked with data integration tools.
- Familiarity with dbt: Experience in data modeling and writing transformations in dbt is a significant plus.
- Engineering mindset: You care about code quality, use Git, and understand the importance of Data Quality.
- Systematic thinking: Ability to organize data in a way that allows for informative reports and dashboards.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
- Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow.
- Experience with BI tools like Looker.
