About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. This Data Engineer remote position offers the opportunity to design and develop data warehouses while creating a foundation for analytics. You will play a crucial role in building data pipelines and ensuring data quality across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop data warehouses, creating a robust foundation for analytics.
- Build data pipelines: Develop, optimize, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and propose optimal architectural solutions.
- Assist colleagues in visualizing data through the development of clear and efficient dashboards.
- Implement Data Quality practices and ensure trust in data across the company.
Requirements
- Strong SQL skills: Ability to write complex queries, optimize them, and understand their execution.
- Experience with ETL/ELT: Understanding of pipeline construction principles and experience with data integration tools.
- Familiarity with dbt: Experience in data modeling and writing transformations in dbt is a significant plus.
- Engineering mindset: Commitment to code quality, use of Git, and understanding the importance of Data Quality.
- Systematic thinking: Ability to organize data to create informative reports and dashboards.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
- Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow.
- Experience with BI tools such as Looker.
