Data Engineer (Azure) - Remote Contract Position

About the Role

We’re looking for a talented Data Engineer (Azure) remote to join our team on a contract basis. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and solutions within Azure. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the UK while contributing to exciting projects.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and optimize ETL pipelines to ensure efficient data processing.
• Utilize Azure Data Factory and other Azure data services to create scalable data solutions.
• Write and tune complex SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
• Support data integrations, ensuring that data is reliable, secure, and accessible.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with Azure Data Factory.
• Solid background in ETL development and data pipelines.
• Excellent SQL skills, including querying, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Nice to Have

• Experience with data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks.
• Knowledge of Python or other programming languages for data manipulation.
