Data Engineer (Azure) - Remote Contract Position
About the Role
We’re looking for a talented Data Engineer (Azure) remote to join our team on a contract basis. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and solutions within Azure. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the UK while contributing to exciting projects.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and optimize ETL pipelines to ensure efficient data processing.
- Utilize Azure Data Factory and other Azure data services to create scalable data solutions.
- Write and tune complex SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
- Support data integrations, ensuring that data is reliable, secure, and accessible.
- Collaborate with analysts, developers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Azure Data Factory.
- Solid background in ETL development and data pipelines.
- Excellent SQL skills, including querying, optimization, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Nice to Have
- Experience with data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks.
- Knowledge of Python or other programming languages for data manipulation.
