About the Role

We are seeking a Data Annotation Contractor - Remote to join our team at Mercor. As a Data Annotation Contractor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing AI systems by categorizing and labeling data. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work asynchronously and set your own schedule. The engagement is expected to last through December, with the possibility of extension based on project needs.

What You'll Do

  • Annotate and categorize text, images, and other data according to detailed guidelines.
  • Synthesize information from large volumes of data to ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Apply predefined rubrics and taxonomies to maintain consistency and accuracy.
  • Flag inconsistencies, ambiguities, or errors in datasets to improve data quality.
  • Directly influence the improvement of AI systems through your annotations.
  • Commit to approximately 20 hours per week, providing flexibility in your work schedule.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the United States.
  • US-based education is required.
  • No prior work experience is necessary; all class years are welcome, from freshmen to seniors.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow guidelines.
  • Interest in AI and data improvement projects.
