Cybersecurity Analyst - Next-Generation Firewall Administration (Remote)

About the Role

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team remotely. This role focuses on next-generation firewall administration and supports ongoing cybersecurity operations within a large enterprise environment. As a Cybersecurity Analyst remote, you will contribute to project-based initiatives, incident response, compliance activities, and continuous security optimization.

What You'll Do

• Perform day-to-day firewall policy administration and maintenance.
• Configure, install, upgrade, and maintain security hardware and firewall platforms.
• Analyze firewall traffic and security logs to identify risks, anomalies, and performance issues.
• Respond to security incidents and service disruptions in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of security infrastructure, changes, and procedures.
• Participate in cybersecurity projects and collaborate with IT and business teams.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience administering next-generation firewalls.
• General networking knowledge and troubleshooting experience.
• Understanding of TCP/IP communications and common protocols (DNS, DHCP, HTTP).
• Experience analyzing network traffic and security logs.
• Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to team success and operational excellence.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Palo Alto Networks and Cisco ASA firewalls.
• Palo Alto PCCET or PCNSA certification.
• Cisco CCNA and CompTIA Security+ certifications.
