Cyber Security Manager - Protecting National Security
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Manager to join our team at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. As a Cyber Security Manager, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our national security interests by ensuring the integrity and security of our information systems. This position is not remote, and you will be working on-site in the United States, collaborating with a dedicated team of cybersecurity professionals.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development and implementation of cybersecurity strategies to protect sensitive information and systems.
- Manage a team of cybersecurity analysts and engineers, providing guidance and support in threat detection and response.
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
- Oversee incident response activities, ensuring timely and effective resolution of security incidents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with federal regulations and security standards.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance cybersecurity awareness among staff.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies to continuously improve security measures.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Experience with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM solutions.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.
- Proven track record of successfully managing cybersecurity projects and initiatives.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are preferred.
