About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Manager to join our team at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. As a Cyber Security Manager, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our national security interests by ensuring the integrity and security of our information systems. This position is not remote, and you will be working on-site in the United States, collaborating with a dedicated team of cybersecurity professionals.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the development and implementation of cybersecurity strategies to protect sensitive information and systems.
  • Manage a team of cybersecurity analysts and engineers, providing guidance and support in threat detection and response.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential security threats.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Experience with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM solutions.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing cybersecurity projects and initiatives.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are preferred.
