Customer Service Representative I - Remote
About the Role
We are looking for a Customer Service Representative I - Remote to join our dedicated team at CareOregon. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the initial point of contact for our members, providing exceptional service related to the Oregon Health Plan (OHP), Medicaid, Medicare, and other health services. This role is crucial in ensuring that our members receive the support they need, and you will play a key role in enhancing their experience with our organization.
What You'll Do
- Act as the first point of contact for CareOregon members, responding to inquiries regarding OHP, Medicaid, and Medicare.
- Assist with outbound calls to members to ensure their needs are met.
- Collaborate with various departments to enhance the member experience and resolve issues effectively.
- Document communications using a Call Tracking system to maintain accurate records.
- Maintain confidentiality of member information in compliance with regulations.
- Meet CareOregon's Customer Experience standards by providing professional and timely service.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Participate in department meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a call center environment.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong active listening skills to understand member needs.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
- Research and problem-solving skills to assist members effectively.
- Commitment to adhering to a set schedule and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and communities.
Nice to Have
- Experience in healthcare customer service.
- Familiarity with health insurance terminology.
- Previous experience working with Medicaid or Medicare systems.
