About the Role

We're hiring a Corporate Paralegal to join the dynamic team at TerrAscend. This remote position offers you the opportunity to contribute to a leading multi-state cannabis operator in North America, dedicated to enhancing the lives of patients and customers through exceptional marijuana therapies. As a Corporate Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in the Legal and Compliance team, assisting with contract management and legal activities.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage the administration of company contracts, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Provide initial review of all contracts using AI tools to enhance efficiency.
• Assist attorneys with various legal activities involving contracts, due diligence, and litigation.
• Manage the administration of all legal vendors through a billing platform.
• Assist with M&A transactions and related documentation, ensuring all processes are followed accurately.
• Track important contract dates and maintain accurate records for compliance purposes.
• Establish relationships with key stakeholders to ensure timely contract execution.
• Utilize AI to streamline job responsibilities and improve overall efficiency.
• Handle confidential information with the utmost professionalism and integrity.
• Drive progress on cross-functional projects and continuously improve processes within the legal team.

Requirements

• Paralegal Certificate is required.
• CPCM certification is preferred.
• 5 years of experience as a paralegal is preferred.
• 2 years of experience in Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) is required.
• Excellent business judgment and critical thinking skills are essential.
• Demonstrated project management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and Excel is necessary.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
