About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support Specialist - Remote to join our dynamic team. What You'll Do

  • Provide expert guidance on cybersecurity infrastructure and defense strategies.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and incident response activities to mitigate risks.
  • Utilize tools such as SIEM for monitoring and analyzing security events.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices.
  • Engage in research and development to stay ahead of emerging threats.
  • Deliver technical support and training to internal teams on cybersecurity protocols.
  • Assist in compliance efforts with frameworks such as NIST RMF.
  • Contribute to the development of educational materials for workforce development in cybersecurity.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, particularly in infrastructure defense.
  • Proficiency in Python and PowerShell for automation and scripting tasks.
  • Strong understanding of risk management and software security assessment.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and Linux management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement.

Nice to Have

  • Certifications in cybersecurity (CISSP, CISM, etc.)
  • Experience in educational technology or project management.
  • Knowledge of compliance regulations and standards.
