About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Contract Specialist to join our team in a remote capacity. This role is pivotal in supporting major energy operations and managing post-award contracts effectively. You will play a crucial role in influencing commercial outcomes within a large energy business, ensuring compliance and performance across a portfolio of contracts.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver post-award contract administration, ensuring commercial, governance, and compliance outcomes.
  • Act as a trusted commercial advisor to contract owners and operational stakeholders.
  • Manage variations, claims, invoices, and disputes, providing clear commercial recommendations.
  • Support contract negotiations, approvals, and cost management, including forecasting and final accounts.
  • Build strong internal and supplier relationships while ensuring safe, compliant contract delivery.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in contracts administration, contract management, or commercial roles within large or complex organizations.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, contracts, risk, compliance, and cost management.
  • Ability to interpret contracts, assess claims and variations, and provide clear, practical recommendations.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders across operations, procurement, finance, legal, and HSE.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.
  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce, law, engineering, business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP is desirable.
