About the Role

We are seeking a Contract Java Engineer to join our team remotely. In this role, you will work on AI-powered pricing solutions that help major retailers optimize their pricing strategies and improve their ROI. As a Java Engineer remote, you will develop scalable systems that leverage machine learning and data analytics.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop robust backend systems using Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
• Optimize SQL queries and manage relational database interactions.
• Build large-scale distributed systems capable of handling high-throughput data pipelines.
• Collaborate with Data, DevOps, and Product teams to improve overall architecture.
• Participate in code reviews and system design discussions.

Requirements

• Strong Computer Science fundamentals and professional experience with Java 8+.
• Proficiency in the Spring Boot framework for building REST APIs and microservices.
• Solid understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Experience with relational databases and writing complex SQL queries.
• Proven experience working with distributed systems and scalable backend architectures.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Familiarity with Kafka and Kubernetes.
