Construction Project Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Construction Project Engineer to join our team at SOCOTEC. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere while contributing to exciting projects in the construction industry. As a Construction Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing technical controls, risk prevention, and compliance for various projects, ensuring that we meet our clients' needs effectively.

What You'll Do

• Manage technical aspects of construction projects from design to delivery, ensuring risk management across various types of projects (ERP, housing, labor code, etc.).
• Critically analyze project proposals and documentation across all trades.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations throughout all project phases.
• Conduct site inspections and verify compliance with design specifications.
• Prepare technical reports and provide expert opinions to stakeholders.
• Engage with architects, engineering firms, and contractors on behalf of the project owner.
• Perform technical diagnostics (structural integrity, fire safety, accessibility for disabled individuals, etc.).
• Maintain regular reporting to external stakeholders regarding unresolved issues through synthesis reports.

Requirements

• A degree in Engineering or equivalent (BAC + 3/4) with experience in Civil Engineering, Building, or Construction.
• Strong technical and regulatory knowledge in the construction field.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing project documentation.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for client relations.
• Desire to be a sector reference, committed to client engagement and responsibility.

Nice to Have

• Experience with project management software.
• Knowledge of sustainable construction practices.
• Fluency in additional languages.
