Commercial Account Executive - Remote Role at Chainalysis
About the Role
As a Commercial Account Executive remote at Chainalysis, you will play a pivotal role in driving blockchain technology adoption across the North American private sector. You'll assist crypto-native companies, including exchanges, Web3, and DeFi, as well as financial services and mid-market organizations, in confidently and securely implementing blockchain technologies as part of their cryptocurrency strategy.
Our Commercial Account Executives are emerging storytellers and problem-solvers who balance new business creation with strategic account management. You will establish trust with customers, tailor your sales approach to meet their specific needs, and evangelize Chainalysis solutions in a compelling yet approachable way.
What You'll Do
- Meet and exceed assigned quota targets by developing the commercial market within North America through effective prospecting, pipeline development, and existing account expansion.
- Build meaningful customer relationships based on trust and transparency that generate network referrals and enhance Chainalysis' brand awareness.
- Execute targeted go-to-market plans resulting in predictable quarterly forecasts.
- Develop a diverse pipeline of commercial opportunities enabling consistent and accurate sales forecasting.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to implement effective positioning and messaging specific to commercial market trends and competitive drivers.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams at Chainalysis to provide informed guidance to prospects on technical concepts, product capabilities, implementation approaches, and training.
- Create compelling customer proposals that clearly articulate value propositions aligned with commercial customer needs.
- Navigate sales cycles with multiple stakeholders at mid-market organizations.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of B2B commercial sales experience, preferably in SaaS or technology solutions.
- Experience selling into the financial services industry (banking, fintech, asset management, etc.) is a plus.
- Understanding of consultative sales methodology and buying processes.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts in an approachable manner.
- Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Demonstrated ability in new business development.
- Capacity to translate technical solutions into clear business benefits for customers.
- Interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
- Adaptability and eagerness to grow in a dynamic startup environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed for customer meetings and events.
Nice to Have
- Experience selling solutions related to risk & compliance, data analytics, financial crimes, or data security.
- Basic understanding of blockchain technology (not required to be an expert, but must be curious and willing to learn).
What We Offer
- Base Salary Range: $110,000-$140,000.
- Offers Commission: 50/50 OTE.
