CNC Machinist for Underfloor Lathe - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for Underfloor Lathe to join our team at BLS. This remote opportunity allows you to contribute to the safety and comfort of our trains with your precise machining skills. As a CNC Machinist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our trains operate smoothly and efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Maintain and operate underfloor lathes to ensure the quality of railway wheelsets.
• Position and clamp railway vehicles accurately for machining processes.
• Measure wheelsets, check profiles, and create measurement protocols.
• Document manufacturing processes and repairs according to technical drawings and standards.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues while maintaining cleanliness and functionality of the underfloor lathe.

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as a polymechanic or equivalent.
• Experience in CNC turning; familiarity with Siemens controls is a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible hours in a two-shift operation.
• Proficient in computer applications and fluent in German.
• Ability to work precisely, reliably, and independently, with a passion for teamwork in a dynamic workshop environment.

• Experience with railway vehicle maintenance.
