Buying Associate - Remote Opportunity in Supply Chain Management

About the Role

We are looking for a Buying Associate to join our team in a remote capacity. This entry-level position in Supply Chain Management offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in procurement and purchasing processes.

What You'll Do

• Provide entry-level professional support in the procurement of lower dollar manufacturing materials and services.
• Review demand requirements for lower dollar, lower cost manufacturing parts and supplies.
• Check requisitions for completeness and accuracy.
• Obtain quotes, examine bids, and recommend awards.
• Suggest, prepare, and administer purchase orders to achieve material quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Analyze material availability to manage inventory investment.
• Maintain responsibility for data integrity in the Item Master file.
• Communicate with suppliers to gather information on materials availability, cost, shipping, and delivery methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Zero to two years of relevant experience.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
• Knowledge of basic computer applications and the ability to learn multiple applications.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic math, data entry, and 10-key skills.

• Experience in supply chain management or purchasing.
• Familiarity with procurement practices and procedures.
• Ability to evaluate, prioritize, and problem-solve a variety of tasks.
