AV Technician Tier 2 - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking an AV Technician Tier 2 to join our team remotely. As an AV Technician Tier 2, you will play a crucial role in supporting video conferencing equipment and providing technical support to our clients. This position is essential for ensuring seamless communication and collaboration through advanced AV technology.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the primary on-site technician, resolving 99% of AV/VC issues in conference rooms and presentation spaces.
• Monitor and resolve automated VC conference room alerts for executive and specialty spaces.
• Act as an escalation point for all AV/VC needs that cannot be resolved at the Tier 1 level.
• Provide Tier 2 event support for in-person, hybrid, and virtual events, including webinars on platforms like Zoom.
• Assist clients with new builds, design support, asset management, commissioning, and testing as needed.
• Support the AV events team with broadcast events, live productions, video switching, and streaming.
• Deliver white glove VC technical support for C-suite and high-level management during high-profile events.
• Perform maintenance sweeps and repair tasks on all VC equipment to maintain 99% uptime.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an AV Technician or similar role, with a focus on video conferencing technologies.
• Knowledge of Neat, Zoom, Q-Sys, Dante, Crestron, Shure, and other AV/VC hardware.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems like Jira or similar is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical capability to handle tasks such as lifting large/heavy objects.
• Self-motivated and accountable, with a methodical approach to technical issues.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to client culture.
