Associate Director of Accounting - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

Revolution Medicines is seeking an Associate Director of Accounting to join our team in a remote capacity. In this pivotal role, you will oversee accounting operations for multiple European entities, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations while maintaining high standards of financial integrity.

What You'll Do

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for European entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
• Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger close, payroll review, and cash management.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and local statutory reporting requirements across Europe.
• Manage statutory accounts, audits, and filings in multiple jurisdictions.
• Drive standardization and automation of accounting processes to enhance efficiency.
• Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Mentor and develop accounting team members across the region, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth and initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 11 years of progressive accounting experience, including multinational or regional scope.
• At least 5 years of experience in the global biopharmaceutical industry.
• 3–5+ years of people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and European statutory reporting requirements.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Fluency in English required; additional European languages a plus.
• Strong project management and change management skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls.
• Hands-on experience in managing complex close processes across multiple countries.
• Proven ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
