About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer (AE) for High-Performance Computing Devices to join our team at Insight Global. This role is essential for developing, implementing, and optimizing test solutions for cutting-edge high-performance computing devices. As an Application Engineer, you will work closely with a semiconductor client in the Bay Area, utilizing your expertise in electronics engineering and software development.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement test solutions for high-performance computing devices.
  • Utilize Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), specifically Advantest's V93000 hardware and SmarTest 8 software.
  • Conduct hands-on testing of digital and high-speed digital devices.
  • Write and develop test scripts from scratch using C++ or Java programming skills.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance of testing processes.
  • Travel up to 15% for client engagements and project requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in IC test or application development.
  • Proficient with V93000 (V93k) and SmarTest 7/8 (SMT7/8) along with bench instruments.
  • Strong programming skills in C++ or Java.
  • Hands-on experience in testing digital/high-speed digital devices.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in high-performance computing environments.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of additional programming languages.
