About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate AI/Machine Learning Director to join our dynamic team at Escape Velocity Entertainment. This remote AI/Machine Learning Director position offers the chance to research, develop, and prototype cutting-edge AI/ML solutions that will redefine gaming experiences and push the boundaries of our ambitious projects.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the research, development, and implementation of ML bots.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to leverage generative AI across our production pipeline.
  • Gather AI-related ideas and needs from various teams and convert them into actionable plans.
  • Drive the execution of approved AI initiatives, prototypes, and workflow improvements.
  • Explore and prototype local models trained on internal data.
  • Develop guidelines and best practices for agentic AI systems.
  • Educate directors and teams on AI capabilities, limitations, and practical usage.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging AI models, tools, and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a previous AI/ML Lead/Manager or equivalent role.
  • Solid experience with Python and C++, along with strong expertise in ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Exceptional communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • In-depth expertise in AI/ML theory, algorithms, and system design.
  • A collaborative, mentoring-oriented mindset and a passion for solving complex problems.
  • Game development experience is a plus but not required.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud-based AI solutions.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of game development pipelines.
