About the Role
We are seeking an AI Engineer - GenAI Systems for Legal Professionals to join our fast-growing LegalTech scale-up. In this role, you will build production GenAI systems that are used daily by legal professionals around the world. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex, high-precision problems where quality truly matters.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and deploy LLM-powered features across drafting, prosecution, and litigation workflows.
- Maintain RAG pipelines over large, complex legal and technical corpora.
- Own systems from prototype through to production, ensuring robustness and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with full-stack engineers and domain experts to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Focus on shipping reliable systems used by real customers in a high-stakes legal environment.
Requirements
- Strong AI research background with top publications or a solid software engineering background.
- Excellent production engineering fundamentals, regardless of your background.
- Comfortable being scrappy and hands-on in a fast-scaling environment.
- Ideally, 2+ years of experience, but we are open to exceptional graduates or more senior engineers.
- Infrastructure or deployment experience (AWS, Terraform) is a bonus.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Python, FastAPI, React, TypeScript, and Postgres.
- Familiarity with AWS and Terraform.

Who Will Succeed Here
Proficient in Python and familiar with FastAPI for building scalable web applications, ensuring high-quality deployment of GenAI systems.
