About the Role

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for managing collections and reconciliations of customer statements, ensuring minimal bad debt risk while maximizing accounts receivable collections. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will communicate credit department policies and procedures to both company personnel and customers, playing a vital role in our financial health.

What You'll Do

  • Review and release orders from credit hold, ensuring timely billing and cash postings.
  • Conduct collection calls to effectively collect accounts receivables.
  • Assist with order management and negotiate customer disputes to resolution.
  • Provide excellent customer service and develop strong relationships with customers.
  • Maintain accurate credit and collection files, ensuring all electronic collection notes are updated for each customer account.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the finance team.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of collections experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Ability to manage difficult customers with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Strong critical decision-making skills that impact the company’s bottom line.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Able to multitask effectively and work collaboratively as a team player.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field is preferred, but substantial experience is acceptable.

  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.

  • Strong analytical skills to assess financial data.
