What You'll Do
- Engage in research on zkEVM technology and its integration into Ethereum.
- Collaborate with Ethereum Foundation researchers and contributors to explore innovative solutions.
- Contribute to public-facing materials and discussions within the Ethereum community.
- Conduct original research relevant to Ethereum, focusing on economic incentives and security for decentralized technologies.
- Participate in discussions and seminars within the research community.
- Share findings through academic publications, enhancing your professional portfolio.
- Attend in-person cohort meetups during the summer to network with peers and mentors.
- Utilize your skills in computer science, cryptography, mathematics, or economics to contribute effectively to the team.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in computer science, cryptography, mathematics, or economics.
- Demonstrated interest in Ethereum and decentralized technologies.
- Exposure to applied cryptography and zero-knowledge proofs (ZK) is a plus.
- Understanding of computational vs. cryptographic assumptions.
- Experience with assembly/bytecode literacy.
- Familiarity with differential testing, fuzzing, or formal verification.
- Previous contributions to any codebase.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience in conducting original research.
- Interest in blockchain technologies and their applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
