About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Whey Separator Operator remote to join our team at Glanbia. In this role, you will be responsible for removing cream from whey and maintaining effective communication between the whey and cheese plants. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production processes.

What You'll Do

  • Operate Line 1 and 2 pre-draw tanks, whey clarification, separation, and whey cream processes.
  • Compile records related to production processes, testing, and machinery maintenance.
  • Maintain open communication with cheese and whey operators to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Perform regular testing of samples using the FT-120 and make necessary adjustments to meet specifications.
  • Oversee the cleaning of assigned machinery and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Complete all job activities following established safety and operational SOPs.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Participate in training sessions and assist in onboarding new team members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; related experience is a plus.
  • General machine maintenance knowledge is required.
  • Ability to run and troubleshoot all equipment effectively.
  • Excellent attendance and safety record.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with team members and management.
  • Proficient in personal computer skills, including record keeping and word processing.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Willingness to comply with all safety policies and procedures.
