VP of High Touch Trading - Server Side Developer (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a talented VP of High Touch Trading - Server Side Developer to join our innovative team at Galaxy. This remote position allows you to leverage your extensive experience in server-side Java development to build and evolve the systems that drive our high touch trading workflows. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of finance and AI by developing robust JVM-based systems that support order management, trade execution, and real-time pricing.

What You'll Do

• Design and maintain server-side systems for high touch trading workflows, directly impacting internal traders and external counterparties.
• Collaborate closely with trading and product teams to ensure systems meet the needs of high-performance trading environments.
• Utilize your strong core Java skills to develop high-quality, efficient, and scalable code.
• Implement concurrency and multithreaded programming techniques to optimize system performance.
• Lead initiatives in code optimization and profiling to enhance system reliability and speed.
• Work independently to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within the trading systems.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to continually improve our systems and processes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant development experience in server-side Java.
• Exceptional knowledge of concurrency, multithreaded programming, and JVM performance.
• Experience with high-touch trading workflows, including OTC markets and voice-assisted trading.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to ownership of issues.
• Familiarity with Order Management Systems and low latency messaging technologies (e.g., Aeron, 29West).

Nice to Have

• Experience leading a development team.
• Development experience in performance-sensitive environments like eFX.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Familiarity with the crypto industry and its technologies.
