Vice President of Building Engineering - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Vice President of Building Engineering to join our team at Trinity Property Consultants. This remote opportunity allows you to leverage your extensive experience in building systems project management while providing strategic leadership and technical oversight across our apartment communities. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the optimal performance of all internal and external building systems.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement comprehensive engineering strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives and long-term vision.
• Manage the engineering department’s budget, including capital expenditures and preventive maintenance planning.
• Oversee project management tasks including scope, technical specifications, budget tracking, and scheduling for capital improvement projects.
• Conduct building system inspections and maintain accurate documentation to ensure safety and operational standards.
• Provide leadership and development for the maintenance and engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence and empowerment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in building systems project management, including a senior leadership role.
• Advanced expertise in two or more trades such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or fire/life safety.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline, with relevant certifications preferred.
• Strong creative, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to travel up to 50% for site visits and emergency response.

Nice to Have

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Experience with energy management systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Yardi and Asana.
