About the Role

We are seeking a talented UX Researcher/Service Designer to join our team at Activate Interactive Pte Ltd. This remote UX Researcher/Service Designer position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that enhance citizen services for Singapore Government Agencies. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis to improve the user experience and inform product strategy.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to uncover user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive research plans, including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and A/B testing.
  • Analyze research data to identify trends and actionable insights for product design.
  • Create compelling research reports and presentations to share findings with cross-functional teams.
  • Facilitate workshops and ideation sessions to prioritize user needs and apply design thinking principles.
  • Create customer journey maps and other artifacts to communicate research findings effectively.
  • Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure usability and accessibility of service concepts.
  • Define and track key performance indicators to evaluate product effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience as a user researcher and/or service designer with a strong portfolio.
  • Advanced degree or certification in service design, UX design, HCI, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of product design processes and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Product, Tech, Data, and Business partners.
  • Familiarity with design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of user research principles and methodologies.
  • Strong ability to synthesize insights into coherent deliverables, including service design blueprints and journey maps.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with diverse research methods and reporting.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies.
  • Experience in government or public sector projects.
