UI/​UX Design Intern - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a UI/UX Design Intern - Remote at SetScout. As a part of our dynamic team, you will contribute to our search and workflow platform for film and TV locations. This role is perfect for someone looking to gain hands-on experience while working remotely, allowing you to manage your time effectively and contribute to meaningful projects.

What You'll Do

• Own product and brand design across flows, components, and patterns.
• Transform requirements into user journeys, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
• Build and iterate design systems and documentation to enhance user experience.
• Prototype interactions and microanimations to bring your designs to life.
• Collaborate closely with our core engineering team to ship your work to production.
• Tackle interesting design challenges such as image-heavy searches, filters, comparisons, and responsive layouts.
• Help define SetScout’s brand look and feel across marketing and product.

Requirements

• A strong portfolio of UI/UX work that demonstrates clear problem-solving skills and craftsmanship.
• Proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma and prototyping software.
• A solid understanding of layout, hierarchy, typography, accessibility, and design systems.
• Bonus points for hands-on front-end engineering skills (React or similar) and familiarity with AI coding tools like Cursor.
• Experience with Tailwind and CSS, as well as motion design skills, are highly desirable.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a collaborative environment with engineers and designers.
• Knowledge of the film and TV production industry.
