Staff Software Engineer - React Native Focus

About the Role

We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our team at Alarm.com, focusing on React Native development. What You'll Do

• Lead the design and development of React Native mobile applications, ensuring high performance and stability.
• Define the mobile architecture to ensure scalability and maintainability.
• Integrate native modules between React Native and native Android layers.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers, conducting code reviews and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Collaborate with US-based stakeholders to refine requirements and bridge the technical gap between teams.
• Champion automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and performance optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with React Native in a production environment.
• Solid background in Native Android Development (Java/Kotlin).
• Proven experience leading a team and mentoring developers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (C1 level preferred).
• Willingness to accommodate flexible hours for collaboration with US teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with IoT and hardware integrations.
• Familiarity with micro-services architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Previous experience working in a distributed team.
