About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our team remotely. The Staff Software Engineer remote position focuses on developing a high-availability trading platform for the healthcare industry, addressing critical disaster recovery challenges. You will play a key role in ensuring that our systems remain operational and efficient, even during catastrophic events.

What You'll Do

  • Provide technical leadership by designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance software systems.
  • Engage in hands-on development, contributing to the codebase through design, development, code reviews, and performance optimizations.
  • Champion modern practices including automation, observability, and resiliency in software development.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote high standards in coding, testing, documentation, and system design.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Marketing, and Operations to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Lead planning, estimation, and execution phases of software development projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 8-10 years of experience in designing and building distributed software systems using the Microsoft tech stack (.NET, C#).
  • Experience with cloud services such as Azure or AWS, including Lambda, SQS, API Gateway, and ECS.
  • Hands-on experience with messaging systems like Kafka or Azure Service Bus.
  • Proficiency in Entity Framework, LINQ, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
  • Experience implementing responsive UI using HTML5, CSS3, and Angular.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with multi-cloud and serverless architectures.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.
  • Exposure to AI/ML integration for predictive analytics.
