As a pivotal member of the R37 team, you will help shape the future of revenue cycle management by developing cutting-edge AI systems that address complex unstructured data challenges in healthcare.

What You'll Do

• Lead AI Development: Spearhead the creation of initial-phase AI systems for retrieval, ranking, categorization, and generative AI features on unstructured healthcare data.
• Outcome-Driven Engineering: Deliver outcomes through software and models, ensuring projects align with business objectives.
• AI System Design: Design AI abstractions and components that address complex business problems in a logical and maintainable manner.
• Maintain AI Systems: Ensure reliability, performance, and operational excellence in AI production environments.
• Scientific Decision-Making: Be accountable for scientific decisions, ensuring proper evaluation datasets and correct metrics.
• Mentorship: Provide mentorship and promote best practices in data and AI while fostering a collaborative team culture.
• Team Growth: Contribute to team growth by improving hiring and recruiting outstanding AI talent.

Requirements

• Proven experience building and operating production AI systems such as Search, Ranking, or generative AI products at a significant scale.
• Comfort in prototyping and pathfinding new opportunities that lead to successful 0→1 projects.
• Experience implementing the full lifecycle of early-phase AI development, from ideation to production.
• Strong understanding of deep product and business knowledge to connect modeling tasks with business value.
• Experience developing models using tools like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and deploying to production with Databricks, AWS Bedrock, or Azure ML.

Nice to Have

• A relevant advanced degree (master's or PhD) in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, or a related field.
